Description: I learnt about the Japanese occupation in Singapore during my social studies class. The historical backdrop of the Japanese occupation in Singapore during World War II was marked by significant hardship and suffering. During this period, the people of Singapore experienced the loss of their freedom and faced challenging circumstances. The symbolism of three doves in the artwork representing freedom and peace resonates with the struggles and aspirations of those who endured that difficult time. My artwork is my wish for Singapore to continue prospering, experiencing growth, stability, peace and freedom.
